Prof. Aggarwal advises the Indian government on how to revamp India’s SEZ Act

The Goverment of India has decided to fundamentally revise its SEZ Act. In this context, the Export Promotion Council for Export Oriented Units & Special Economic Zones (EPCES) of India has set up a committee to make recommendations to the government. Project member Prof. Aradhna Aggarwal has been nominated as a member of this committee and started the advisory work.

The EPCES is one of fourteen export promotion councils operating in India. These councils are non-profit organisation under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce and serve as a bridge between the government on the one hand and exporters on the other. The primary objective of EPCES is to promote exports through SEZs and EOUs (Export Oriented Units).
